Tonight (about 9:45pm) our sky was nearly all orange. It was part cloudy but I could see the 'orange' from indoors

It only got to about 24.5C max. today too and would have been at least a couple degrees cooler by this time.

Thanx.
Pity I couldn't take what I immediately saw. You have to be quick here. Once the sun starts to go down it goes really fast.

sallyanne,

Beautiful photograph!
Sorry, as usual I couldn't resist the temptation to have a go.
A little green in the trees, slight intensification of the colours and the cable had to go.

I think you were rubbing salt in the wound - 27.5C - here it has finally reached 6.3C!

david.

Thanks. That wire was a bit of an eyesore. Even if I go out onto the street I could not get a 'clear' shot of anything. And I find these days it is better if I lean on something to steady myself. This time was a stobie pole.
[A Stobie pole is a power line pole made of two steel joists held apart by a slab of concrete. It was invented by Adelaide Electric Supply Company engineer James Cyril Stobie (1895–1953).[1] Stobie used materials easily at hand due to the shortage of suitably long, strong, straight and termite-resistant timber in South Australia.
