Most people don't, with us. We're kind of known as 'those weird people who walk their rats and ferrets', it's kind of funny. There is always one stupid person around but mostly people are fine with it.
I have another incident to relate about a pet store rat that bit me good yesterday later when I have time to write it. Right now we invited a friend over who is down and depressed and we have an emergency housecleaning to pull off in 2 hours. It's not a fun story but there are lessons to be learned from it.
