I went to right click the .scm file copied and pasted from Fencepost's script and selected compress, and it did absolutely nothing. So, I went to terminal and performed zip via command line and it worked fine. Anyone have any ideas what is wrong or how I can find out?

I am wondering if it has anything to do with the unstuff binary I added a couple of weeks ago.

I wouldn't think the unstuff binary would be a problem.

Right click compress option calls file-roller. You could check to see if

file-roller -d filename.ext

runs from the terminal or if you get an error instead. That might point you in the right direction.

Btw - you can attach a .scm file directly on here.

It runs, but it says I am trying to call two widgets at the same time. Now I can't remember what I did to change file roller. GAH!

(file-roller:5189): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_container_remove: assertion `GTK_IS_TOOLBAR (container) || widget->parent == GTK_WIDGET (container)' failed

(file-roller:5189): Gtk-CRITICAL **: gtk_box_pack: assertion `child->parent == NULL' failed

(file-roller:5189): Gtk-WARNING **: Attempting to add a widget with type GtkHBox to a GtkFrame, but as a GtkBin subclass a GtkFrame can only contain one widget at a time; it already contains a widget of type GtkHBox

Ha, I spoke too soon on kimppi's thread (should have knocked on wood or something) because I have managed to create a duplicate file-roller process without knowing how to find it or remove it.

Actually, I had two copies of file-roller (no idea how that happened, all I did was update it) Anyway, the old version was removed and all is well. Yay me! LOL.

Yeah, that is kinda strange there were two versions running. But, the good news is that you fixed it. :grinyes

I just updated to Fedora 14 a couple of days ago and all is well, with the exception of not being able to get AC3 passthough to work. You're probably like me and can't stand it when things don't work perfectly. I won't stop until I determine the fix, if there is one. I'm about to get to the end of my rope with the AC3 pass through, though. Looks like it's a lingering bug with Pulse Audio.

I had a similar problem with integrating Skype Beta with Linux. I read every single bit of information on PulseAudio, searched every possible term in dozens of different combinations, orientations. And came up empty. Then a day later I typed "Skype Pulseaudio" and the simple fix was right in front of me.

Sometimes the fastest way to your answers involves the least of amount of information when searching. All that time wasted, but I did learn a few things.
