My dad was killed when I was a year old. I never knew him. My step dad was abusive, I wish father's day had more meaning for me.

Sorry to hear that, Gms9810. It seems you turned out fine in spite of it.

I had just the opposite experience. My father was my biggest cheerleader and my #1 advocate. No one was more supportive and no one had a more positive affect on my life. He passed away from cancer a few year ago and I miss him dearly.

Happy Father's day to all!

My dad had his issues, and passed away when I was a young teen. I still miss him.

My Father's day has been pretty good. I'm not in the hospital, so that's great news.

Well I have 3 kids and 13 girls that I teach and I'm like a dad to most of them so it does have some meaning to it.
