Winter rain and early spring hot weather and kapow, everything in my Aussie native garden is suddenly flowering.

In this mix we have:
- Top left Grevillea Moonlight – each flower as big as your hand.
- Top right a swathe of Grevillea Peaches and Cream, just opening up.
- Bottom left Grevillea Coconut Ice.
- Bottom right my Isopogon Anethifolius – beautiful cone like, button flowers all over the plant.

So beautiful flowers. Thanks for sharing

As autumn quietly makes its appearance here,
I always look forward to the beautiful and special (to us Europeans) spring flowers that adorn your garden, OMG.

Thank you all respondents - appreciate your sentiments. In my view gardens are essential living companions. So here are a few more snaps from this mornings working bee.

First image has four items;
- top left a native Hibiscus Geranoides; typically from the Darwin region but grows well further south, here in Sydney
- top right Grevillea Speciosa a tall, spindly plant
- bottom left a Candlestick Banksia, close to 20cms tall
- bottom right Grevillea Orange Marmalade; typical spider shape Grevillea.

Next is a close up of a Callistemon Perth Pink flower, then there is a shot of one side of that tree, which is about 5 metres tall by 4 metres wide.

They are all stunningly beautiful but I am really enchanted by the delicate colours in the Grevillea Peaches and Cream. Thank you for sharing these.

Whilst my garden is mostly dedicated to Australian native plants, there are some areas where we have exotic plants from overseas, like the Louisiana Iris in our pond and with 5 warm sunny days in a row, they have burst into flower.

Below there are a couple of shots of these flowers, where eagle eyed viewers will notice a net covering the pond – that is because Kookaburras and Grey Necked Herons like to take our fish!

@Lyle - thanks, yes we do have some unique flora. The garden I created contains mostly native shrubs/trees ranging from ground covers to 15 metres tall, but there are also 2 towering Ironbark Eucalypts some 35-40 metres tall, which are probably 250-300 years old. We also have lime and lemon trees, a potted herb and strawberry garden and a raised vegetable patch.

Here is another photo set of colourful close ups showing how far spring has already sprung!! Top left a red and green Kangaroo Paw, then some blueberries, bottom left some strawberries and on their right my favourite Grevillea Peaches and Cream.

Half way through Spring and some more of my Aussie native shrubs are now flowering. From L to R, top to bottom they are:
1.Syzigium Cascade
2. Grevillea Molly
3. Callistemon Burgundy Jack
4. Anigozanthos Flavidus - a Kangaroo Paw which can reach 2 metres in height.

A couple of late spring bloomers, mostly because they are partly shaded and both with pink flowers. They are Aussie natives of course

1. The subtle pink flowers on one of my 4 tall (12metres) Blueberry Ash trees at the back fence in my garden.
2. The jolly pink flowers on my Syzigium Cascade, about 4 metres tall by 3 metres wide, also up near the boundary fence.

So nice to look at those flowers while it has been Novembery foggy grey here for days now.

A late flowering kangaroo paw; my favourite colour of orange. We are lucky with kangaroo paw as they flower for weeks and weeks; then when they are finished I slash them back to ground level, flower stems and leaves to encourage the new growth, which comes very quickly.

"Damn, I’m a bit jealous of that. It’s full-on autumn on my side of the hemisphere now – dark, gloomy, and -1°C. xD Btw, the bottom left corner reminds me a bit of a tiger lily."
