I sit a lot in front of computer so very inactive.
I just dread the whole hour long exercise sessions and have never done them since high school.
But I found a hack to keep me more active.
Instead of exercising, I just do 1, 2, 6, or 12 push-ups here and there.
They're easy and I am into the big numbers.
But I track every single set even if it's just 1 push-up on my site using database and give it a fun nickname like "muffin power" or "tim horton's ice cap power"
or "thanks for the water" for each set.
Basically training my brain to look for excuses to do push-ups.
And I have to say I surprised myself since no way in hell I would pull off 500 push ups in 3 days but that's what I did using this micro-session technique.
Surprisingly I don't feel like I am exercising at all it's more like a game that everyone one push-up I do add to the game total score. and it keeps me going seeing the number go up no matter how little.
Just thought I'd share that.
here's what google notebooklm has to say why it works
