My new used laptop came today, my last one had a 64 meg video board and 30G HD. This one has a 120G HD, dual core and 256 meg video board. The only problem is the battery is worn out but i can get one easy enough. That plus the 2 gig RAM should make life a a lot more fun. It came with CS5, not a trial or demo, but the full blown app, but i deleted it. I'm looking forward to doing some graphics intensive stuff tomorrow.

You should have gotten the key off for that PS version. CS5 will still be upgradeable for a few more years. My main editor is GIMP, but still, on occasion, I use CS5 (mainly to process my RAW files from my Leica). Lots of cool actions are available for it too. Wish you would have said something before removing it GMS; oh well.

I sort of boycott adobe because of their criminal prices. I don't want anything they have.

Oh; I agree about the prices. A few months ago, I used my Christmas money and paid $215 at a brick and mortar (Office Depot) for the CS5 upgrade since it will be the last upgrade that the current version I had at the time would upgrade too. Just wish GIMP had 16/32 bit capabilities as well as a better RAW processor (UFRaw just doesn't cut it). Still, for 99% of what I do, GIMP is more then better imo. It will be 100% if they put a nail into those two things that I mentioned. I have to admit, I do like CS5's GPU accelerated featues like zoom and also I do like some of the Pixel Bender (GPU enhanced) filters. If GIMP ever gets GPU capabilities too, then we all know we will be in narvana. :)
