Just found out that Dolly Parton has passed away. She's a cherished icon for sure and will definitely be missed especially where I live. So long, Dolly and thanks for the laughs and joy you brought here over the many years.

A woman who certainly left her mark on us, whilst also providing decades of entertainment.

To me, at my age, every time I look at the news these days I see another pop star, cricketer or footballer (Kevin Keegan 2 weeks back) that I grew up with, has passed on. Yes a factor of old age, but nonetheless a big personal impact and it brings much sadness too.
