Does anyone here use this program to aid in their art. As I understand its another GNU open drawing project with which you can use different medium to create...in this demo heis using music to create designs

Alchemy is quite a fun toy to play with from what i hear.
It creates exact opposites of what you draw i believe.And it's probably best to use it with a tablet.

I downloaded it and i will play with it to see what it does. :)

It basically seems to be a mirror drawing tool.
You draw a line and an exact duplicate is drawn on the other side of the image.
Fun to scribble on.Great for getting both sides of a sketch exactly the same. :)

What would i use it for?
No clue.It's great when you are bored though.
