I enjoyed the video GMS but I guess I no longer have a heart since I didn't tear (a divorce and a tyriad of other circumstances took a lot out of me I guess), but I am happy for this couple and wish them much better luck them most will experience. :)

Just to say...
It amazes me that it is all these men that are teary eyed from this.
No tears from me. In my opinion... I find it very corny and goofy. I would not like to be asked in front of all those people. Nor have them join in with their silliness.

I would want it to be romantic and special between just the two of us. And maybe the proposal question across the sky from an airplane banner.

Ladies... do you agree with me or not?

Lol, depends on how old I would be at the time. When I was very young, I was horribly shy and would have died if a proposal had been public. Now that I am old, I wouldn't care if it was private or on the world news....that is if the answer would be yes. Saying no would be much easier in private!!!

I'm a man and I agree fully with you. These public proposals are so tacky they make me cringe! It should be something personal as it is something intimate. Making a show of it just cheapens it.

If I was a female it would mean a lot to me if a whole family cared that much. Yeah, rod and Lyle, I've been through 2 divorces, a cheating wife and an abusive one, I still just thought this was neat.

I loved the way it was done and I really liked the catchy music and the dancing. I would never want something like that but in a small town where everyone knows each other, it would be kind of cute.

Guess I'm just an old fashioned romantic. I wouldn't want to make a moral issue out of my personal tastes.

I didn't tear, I just smiled broadly throughout. I just thought the whole thing was very warm and sweet. Goofy, sure, but they seemed to have a relationship (and family/friends) where this could be done - not many could pull this off!

That was my point, not that it had some philosophical point, but that it would be really cool to know that a whole family was that supportive.
