The threads are the insides of the pumpkin. It' s turned super moldy now, looks kind of cool actually.

SkyRoma: that's much more fun than most pumpkins i've seen and as a doctor's child i'm not easily disgusted by stuff like that either so i give your pumpkin nine out of ten (i am disgusted by mould!).

Disgusting stuff - very halloween. I'm mycophobic and cringe at the sight of mould and fungus.
