;)

Got a Bamboo Splash too (sort of eluded to that in an earlier post; lol). I'm not sure how much I'll use the Bamboo since I'm mainly a layers/filter guy, but we shall see. Merry Christmas to all. Hope your Christmas has been special and nice too. :)

edit:

Nice idea Tux; you're a true inspiration and I decided to edit accordingly. ;)

Nice, Lyle!!

Several months ago, I was given a Bamboo pad as a gift. Hooked it up and got it working in 2.8 but haven't played much with it. I really don't have a "lean in" workstation setup just yet. I have a dedicated media system connected to my 42" LCD, that I'm typing this on right now, but it's not practical for graphics design. It's a "lean back" system. I have a music/recording workstation but that's not practical either. I'm going to have to setup another system as dedicated graphics workstation. Either that or setup my laptop as a graphics design workstation. The LCD screen isn't that great on the lappy tho. What to do, what to do.. :hehe

I guess this will be the official "List your loot" thread.

Does it count if you bought the items for yourself? If I get any gifts, that's what I'll have to do. :lol

Hauppauge 1600 ATSC Tuner Card (used ebay)
Seagate 1TB SATA Hard Drive (referb eBay)
Lexmark Wireless X4650 All In One Printer/Scanner/Copy/Fax (old hand me down)

That's my loot this year. What's yours?

Good idea Tux; edited the original post accordingly and who cares how you acquired your loot. lolol

Now that you have your new machine Molly, I expect great things to share here using it. ;)

haha, Lyle's tux reminds me of one of my pressies....a book that shows you how to fold money origami style, lol. It even has fake bills to practice with. I did not get any electronics this year, but I didn't ask for any as I really don't need anything right now. What I need to do is learn how to better use what I already have!

Just installed my Bamboo. It actually comes with a few utilities including Artrage 3 Studio so I'm actually more happy with that believe it or not. lol

Still awaiting my confirmation email; weird that they have not sent it yet and it's been over 10 minutes. Anyway, happy I am. Just wanted to share that too. :)

Flame Painter's better too. lol

I'll soon get over it since, as many here know, I'm a filter guy, but still, I'll have a day of fun with the Bamboo anyway. :)

I got a Bamboo Splash for Christmas too. Tell you the truth I would rather use the wired laser mouse. The bamboo doesn't have the zooming in and out capabilities like the mouse wheel gives. And I hate trying to locate the areas that I want to draw in.

Here's a santa I made using my trusty old mouse and gimp 2.8

I agree with you; Good for the occasional writing tasks, but I like my Logitech M705 wireless lazer mouse much better mainly since I can't draw worth cr@p. lol

Still, I'm quite happy that this mouse Bamboo came with ArtRage Studio, but, I'm still perplexed as to why I've yet received my website email comfirmation. :)

edit: I emailed support and a nice guy fixed me up. Happy that I can now access the forum site and also get my update. :)
