Can't get into my email account

Has anyone had this problem. I can't get into my email account this morning. I get a message that someone else may be using my account. They ask for me to verify my account and want me to put in my code.
How do I find a code? :gaah

molly: i had one of my email accounts hijacked once, about three years ago - they asked me for some sort of verification that they'd posted on my alternative email address when i first set up the one that was hijacked. i didn't even have the alternative email address anymore so i couldn't fix it, but maybe you have?

I gave my ISP alternative address and that didn't work either. I don't know what they are talking about (Microsoft account). I have never set up an MS one.

I'm not sure at all but reading this, it sounds like a phishing case. Who is the email provider where you have your account blocked ? If your provider has anything to do with hotmail or msn or live ID, microsoft account sounds genuine (three names, same corporation).

Thanks guys...got it solved but I don't know what I did. All the places I went to came in on my husbands computer. They sent me a code and I put it in on my pc and I had to change my password so all is well now. I was taking a fit. grrrrr
