Chris Interesting!
I would suggest trying to increase the difference between the letters H and K.
The Letter V (I think that comes after the letter U) was strange.
The letter W could have a middle leg taller, the height of the trace median X, A, Y and B
It would be the number 6 equal number 9 only reversed?
The option of having lowercase (no caps lock) would be welcome.
Nice font recalls themes robotic, cyber. :bigthup

Excellent Chris as in all your creations. I agree about the K, needs to slant and its almost identical to your H as Akro's mentioned.

chris f: this is so impressive! great font, one i would definitely want to use (i have a soft spot for old video game esthetics). i agree with akros about the k and i too wondered where number 6 had got to, but the v looks logical to me and so does the w.

are you going to make an "å" by any chance? i know you don't use them in german, but still, it's such a nice little letter...

Chris H, K AND X do look to similar maybe increasing the curvature on the right hand side will help, and are you doing lower case as well

They look really good, Chris :bigthup
A little bit of fine tuning and you'll have a really nice set.

Are you familiar with FontForge? I think it would be a good companion program to use along with Inkscape's Font Editor. FontForge will help with all the technical details. If your on Windows I'd grab, Microsoft Font Validator as well.

looks good, Chris !

reminds me of the 70ies sci fi movie Rollerball

one interesting aspect is how the bevel highlights seem to twist

I think it's really cool looking, in a retro sci fi kind of way. Also I feel that as a purely flat one color font it wouldn't work very well.
But just add some gradients, maybe a bevel and some shine and it pops.

Nice work Chris! :cool

:) Yes this should be a retro inspired font. I`m happy that you like it.
Thanks Arkos (and the all) for your comment, i will work on the H and K today (and others), lowercase and extra letters like "å". ;)
Number 6? i simply forgot it  ...but it could be the rotated 9.
Since i`m on Ubuntu again at home i have installed Font Forge...ugly...but a great program!
I do not understand all of it but i will learn!

Yup, FontForge is one ugly looking program, that's for sure :hehe
There's lot's of good info around relating Inkscape and FontForge.

Very Nice, I notice that you denote letters with the 2 bit nibble at the low end of the letter so I think your Y should also have the nibble in the stem. Perhaps you would also consider having the nibble on the left of the H, J and S (not on the right). I realise that it may not look so good to have the nibble on the right on the J and S .
Your numerals have the nibble high and if you have the nibble on the right then you will not need the filler in the 0 (zero)
Your specials have the nibble on the top . Unfortunately , I am too dumb to recognise what they are !
However, I have to say that it is a very nice font as is. Using FontForge you will be able to set the spacings between letters a bit better. I also suggest you have a browse of this article http://ilovetypography.com. It gives a very good background in fonts and type.

This is without doubt the most inventive and best looking futuristic font I have ever seen. Beautiful work!

I thought they were letters with umlauts? but I wasn't sure so I thought I'd better show ignorance.

Here my first try of the lowercase letters.
I don`t know how they work together with the uppercase letters, i have not tested.

@Chris,
You may know about this...

"The quick brown fox jumps over the lazy dog"

This sentence is an English-language phrase that contains all of the letters of the alphabet. It's been used to test typewriters and computer keyboards, and other applications involving all the letters in the English alphabet.

You might want to try and write the sentence above with your font, adding some uppercase letters and see how it all looks.

I watched a video on creating fonts in Inkscape and after doing one letter decided I just do not have the patience so gave up

So now I admire your tenacity to do it
