Today would have been my mom's birthday, she would have been 77. I can remember when it was just her and I, no stepfather or stepsister. Neither of them have those memories.

My Grandma passed away on Valentines Day and for a long while after my Mom wouldn't celebrate it.After my brother passed i started sending her flowers every Valentines Day.I told her it was not only a day to mourn but a day of celebration as Grandma and Bobby were with the Father now in a better place.She loves flowers also and it lifts her spirits each time.So you keep making those flowers for your Mom GMS.I am sure she see's each and every one.

I think you weren't here when my mom died, Rod. I got up Christmas to say hi to my kids only to find that she died December 22, they cremated her on the 23, and had a funeral the 24th just so I wouldn't find out. Halloween was the first time I saw her in 9 years and then it was only for about half an hour.

Sorry to hear of your loss GMS.That's tough especially on a holiday time like that.I am happy to hear you got to see her again before she passed away so suddenly.

I know how you feel, my Grandpa died 3 years ago and my aunt didn't tell us until a few days later then they had the funeral and didn't tell us when and blamed my mother like she's the heathen when she did nothing wrong.

My Grandma died earlier that year this month too...She (my aunt) didn't even contact my brothers, my dad said it to one like he thought he knew and my brother had no clue.

I'm sorry for your loss! I'm glad you got to see her at least a small bit before she passed. At least you had nice memories with your mother, some aren't so fortunate.
