It's not a "song", but a classical music piece more or less by one of JS Bach's music teachers. What is "mediocre" about it are the numerous covers that don't understand the structure of the canon.

mokonafan: i like that piece too, though my favourite arrangement of it is more traditional with flutes . do you play music yourself? did you ever try making music with those digital tools you asked for here?

I play key-board but it's in storage, and the few things I downloaded like didn't wanna cooperate...I'll get an inspiration burst one day and figure it out..They just didn't like me at all.

mokonafan: that's a shame - but they will probably change their minds about you if you give them a new chance . i've tried playing with my brother's music software and i never managed to get anywhere with it, though.

Back in the 80s and 90s, Pachelbel's Canon was often a popular accompaniment for digital effects demos and computer animations. The interleaving of the various melodies meant that one didn't have to worry about synching the graphics to the music; it always seemed to be a perfect match.
