How Dumb Can you get

This is a picture of my sun-room taken from my computer room. I keep the patio door cracked so they can come back and forth.
The sun-room right now is 92 degrees F. The computer room is 75 degrees. I have a tower fan with the fan rotating back and forth blowing on them.
If I bring them in and close the door, they meow and meow until I break down and put them back out there. Is this dumb or not?

Well, we know whose the boss but then who am I to say that? When my rats water bottle gets empty they learned to push the tip out and the bottle falls on the floor with a distinct sound. They have me trained so that even in the middle of the night and I hear that sound, I get out of bed to refill it.

The cats probably just want to have access to come and go, as they please. My old cat hated closed doors. If she was in a room with you and you closed the door, she'd want out. If you opened the door though, she would would come right back in, proving that it was the closed door that she didn't like

Yes, they sure are independent that way, You would think though with all that fur they would be glad to get inside with the air conditioning. I know what you mean by closed doors, they hate it when there is no escape.

Macy is lying there right now in that same place right beside a large branch of catnip I picked and brought in. Yes cats are very funny and very entertaining.l
