Star Trek fans will enjoy this one.

Saw the excerpts at Slashdot but it didn't take much work to find the complete video. It's an hour and a half long and I just finished watching the complete video (sans the endtakes). The graphics are hokey for today's standards but the story line is much enjoyable to me. Only linking since it's a very long video. Hope you enjoy it too.

Yes; I caught that pun too. lo

They really did a good job of blending all that has happened afore with Scotty's disappearance (we all know what happened to him; Dyson Sphere as a hint), and Kirks apparent demise (of course he didn't die, but they at the time this movie was suppose to be in wouldn't have known that yet) was a plus to me. You really have to be a Trekkie to understand all the nuances. Very cool to seem some very beloved actors/actresses to boot. Also cool to see some old villians; aged they are now. lol

Still, this one was more then worth the watch.

On a related note, I was extremely disappointed with the latest Hollywood, big budget Star Trek offering: Into The Darkness. Warning contains spoilers (but really, who cares?).

Not really a fan of the new re-boot; traditionalist I am I suppose. The linked movie sticks to the original intent quite well. Agree with Wallace that the special effects, though definitely better then the original series (lol), were hoakie by today's standards, but still, the storie plot really made this one enjoyable to me.
