No problem. Your transformation makes it more realistic. Perhaps I was too restrained with the colour contrast effect I was trying to achieve!

Issabella,

You make it very difficult!!! With such beautiful photographs it is very hard to change them without spoiling them.

For Canal, I have only lightened the darkest areas and tried to put more "life" in the water.
Street_view: I removed the lamp-post which I thought was distracting and gave a slight colour increase.
Wood: Colour and contrast increase for the wood. The background I reduced the saturation and brightness and added a blur.

All three have had some sharpening using wavelet decompose.

A very quick try at the latest three photographs. I may come back to them and reconsider my interpretation.
Path: I have tried to lead the eye along the path.
Caves: Similarly I have tried to concentrate attention on the caves.
Valley: Slight lightening of the darkest parts, colour increase and a little blue in the sky.
