Tintii and Urban Lightscape from
http://www.indii.org/software/For the photographers out there. Pleased to say that Linux is free but Win/Mac users have to cough up 5 dollars.
I came across Tintii just browsing through the PCLinuxOS repo. It is a simple app, does one job only. Which is, take a photographic image and make the background grayscale while keeping coloured elements of the foreground. All this you can do in Gimp anyway, but Tintii is easy to use and is fun. As well as PCLOS it is in the Debian repo (hence also Ubuntu distros) do not know about Fedora.

Urban LightScape, You need to see the web page for a full description but basically it adjusts contrast and adds light to an image. This one was not in the PCLOS repo. The executable I took from an Ubuntu deb, rather than compile it and it works ok. The drag-around controls are a bit strange but you soon get the hang of it.
