Watched the short video on my Roku since I cannot play FB videos due to my system itself being over-protected. How the heck did they create this one Tran? Very cool fractal zoom effect indeed.

no idea how they generated the video, maybe they have access to more artificial intelligent tools than the one web page we have...
on the web page we have access too after you generate an image there is link to other descriptions that says something like you submit your email and they send you link to other generators or something crazy when they're available..but i didn't bother with it.

I'd imagine you have to have some sort of tool that can run on an image to create deep dreamed image..then scale it up a little and take only the same original size of the deep dreamed image and then feed that through deep dreamed again hoping it still generates something close to the original and not completely different..and repeat this process. so you're always zooming in and refeeding the output from one step to the next..and whatever it dreams up you see the effect

too bad the web page we have isn't some sort of script i can call repeatedly to write a script that will keep scaling up the layer and call it ..otherwise i would test my theory.

testing out my theory of using deepdream images and keep scaling up and feeding it through deepdream again.
30 frames but looped so 59 frames.
I scaled up the layer and export image, feed it through deep dream.
take the result ...scale up again (10%) and feed it through deep dream again and repeat.


well that took some manual labor...

Now that's a fantastic stab at it Tran. Possibly the Deep Dream engine then cleans up and adapts to a variety of scales for these "smart" objects then. Cool stuff. Might try to scale up an image, break it up in quarters, and then run each quarter into the engine and then stitch the result and see if there's any seams or not.

Now if only i could automate that, i'd make a much longer gif.

Well, I did try to do the stitch thing; not quite seamless unfortunately. May try to re-think my strategy and try again. I did my usual lazy man blend and voila. Not appealing unfortunately. Again, wish these guys weren't so stingy with the size.

okay so i used this tool called "GhostMouse" to automate me doing the manual labor and walked away from the computer for hours.
this has 198 frames.

yeah they're cool...i was looking another program but it required me to learn another script language and well didn't feel like learning a whole language just wanted something with simple record and play... I can generate filenames using a spreadsheet and just made my macro to go grab filenames from the open spread sheet and used them

Amazing how you figured this stuff out! BTW, how do you get the patterns so dark, I had to feed a pic in 4 tedious times and it still wasn't very dark of a pattern. I love the jewel tones in the patterns when they are darker.
