I was thinking this could be a good base/background or even a small part of a space scene.
I created this one using JWildfire.

You do know that fractals can be made in gimp ek22? Have to admit I only make them occasionally

One to consider is as mentioned earlier by sallyanne Jwildfire.

It is a java application and in two independent parts, the main editor and an 'applet'
The applet is very much "serendipity", keep clicking, see something you like, save the .flame file to clipboard, open in the editor

screenshot of both http://i.imgur.com/aP6egrv.jpg

This beta does not break any speed records rendering but then neither does apophysis.

Ooooh, these are awesome fractals. I've never come across JWildfire - I'll have to take a look.

Hey Sallyanne and Marcello. they are awesome fractal images, I love them; now it looks like I have to start playing in that area too, but I have not yet finished with Conbagui and surrealism!

Its really tough keeping up with you guys.

I like your fractals a lot, but no idea how to do these so appealing you Sallyanne and Marcello did. I don't know what JWildfire is. Any help for me? thank you so much.
oldmangrumpy, I understand you so much. I don't get to stay at pace of our friends.

Isabella, Thank you.
The last one I did in GMIC. There is a Fractal renderer in there under Rendering > Mandlebrot - julia sets. There is also a fractal explorer under filters > render in gimpImage
I did this one in JWildfire.

JWildfire is an innovative image-processing package featuring the most advanced flame-fractal-software available.
It is Java-based, open-source and runs on any major computer-plattform. There is even a special Android-version for mobile devices. http://jwildfire.org/

Thank you Sallyanne. You are very kind as usual. I'll take a look to practise it. :tyspin

I wish.
There are a lot of presets that you can play around with. I still have to get my head around parameters.
