Thanks Dalia. :bigthup

That is what the tutorial, that I mentioned I would make, is suppose to demonstrate.
I've been very busy lately and haven't had the time to make the tut yet.

I like the effect a lot Wallace.
I tried using 3d extrusion but I couldn't make it look like that.
I added burlwood to yours.

Looking good ST! :bigthup

Here's the setting I use for the 3d extrusion.

Wallace, when things quiet down for you, I'd really like that tutorial. Are the settings up above all there is to it?

SeriousTom, love your result with the burlwood!

Yes Dalia,
sort of...
It's a little bit more involved,
concerning the text and shadow layout.
It's a fairly simple effect,
which isn't hard to figure out.
Using the xcf file and 3d extrusion settings I posted previously as reference.

I used Glass Effect Text on Ice pattern but deleted the shadow from it and used layer effects - inner shadow- and Wallace's settings for 3D Extrusion.

Nice effect ST! :bigthup
Giving the text a brighter color,
could help to create more depth.
