How to make Gimp Splash Screen

Hi to all,
today i'll show you a new tutorial to customize Gimp, in particular i'll show you how to make and install a spash screen in Gimp!

As your tutorial is in Italian I have created a shorter English version.

Use or create a .png image.
Name your image gimp-splash and put in the following folder.
C:\Program Files\GIMP 2\share\gimp\2.0\images

Better to save into the user folder.

You have to have a folder called "splashes" under ...Users/Username/.gimp-2.8 (or whatever release you have), you put all your created images there.
Startup will choose randomly one of your splashes

Gimp splash screen it can also be animated. :yes

This is a gimp-splash.gif file - but with a changed extension to gimp-splash.png (deception :oops:

- but it works in Windows).
