Issabella: Thanks for your comments and doing the font. You did a beautiful mandala and gave nice additions to the original. You always add artistic value to all your images.
OMG: Thank you for doing the tut! As with you also, adding additional effects to beautify the image even more.
Sallyanne: I love yours! The font and the coloring is very striking. Beautiful. Thanks again to all who did the tut.

GIMP Tutorial: Mandala From Your Name

Thank you. I was thankful for the "over-explanations" as I use GIMP a while now but have never learned it from the scratch. So I found some things I hadn't figured out yet :)
In my version I blurred the accentuation just a little bit. I'll have to redo it with stroke-paintbrush and more exact circles (one is not centered right) and a different font. Maybe also with different angles :)

It for sure makes a wonderful avatar :)

#15 looks great - wow
and i thought about doing the text off-center but not all-across like it seems you did in #18 thats a great idea
- i have been doing bunches of these with different fonts and colors and centered/ not center
It seems that getting the right font is a big factor - but font is not everything :)

Here is one i made of my name James

My brother often goes by "Devyn" - so here are a couple of those:

File comment: the name here was off-set from the center and gave that spiral effect
