Hi Rod, I was afraid of this tutorial, it seemed large and complex. But I had decided to try to do it.

Did not understand the highlighted part in the quote above, what should be done in the layer "guitar highlights"?

It was tasty perform this tutorial, a beautiful image manipulation. I think with practice I could get better results. But enjoyed the experience! Thanks for the tutorial!

I had a dream about a flaming baseball, so I used your glow effect to get a better fire effect on the ball. GO TIGERS!

Great tutorial! Only one thing I'd change is that for the strings that are missing sections... they are floating now! lol. I'd probably leave the strings un-erased, and just erase the guitar neck and frets out from behind them, and give the strings a fiery glow in that area, like they had been super-heated from the burning guitar neck behind them.

Akros it has been a long time since i created this tutorial. I believe you need to fill that grown selection with a bright yellow or whitish color. Then set it below the guitar layer. The edges should just show on the outside like a glow. Wish i could remember the color for that but i can't. My apologies.

Your image looks great as is though.
