Christmas Candy Text Effect

he4rty - Thanks for the Gradient. That will make short work of creating the text effect. There's another script called Gradient from Image that will create that gradient for you but you have to crank up the amount on the number of Segments.

Esper - Not really a fail my friend. Anytime you are able to create something new I consider that a bonus. Send me a PM and I'll try and see where you got off course.

I just downloaded the gradient. Here is how it worked ....for me in gradient, glossy. Not the same effect. Is this how it should look?

Looking at the results it seems you are blending the gradient top to bottom instead of left to right, then you will still need to follow the steps onwards from adding text layer, but thats the bonus of the gradient you can blend it any direction you choose.

this is a really cool effect hopefully I will learn to install and use the plug-ins you mentioned so I can try it!

Just got it! :jumpclap

Now I will be able to make lots of different styles with gradients. Bit slow here, I didn't realize you could turn your text around before you added the required filter.
