indeed, thats what came to my mind as well, when i palyed with the script

i did kind of know that you can bumpmap a texture/pattern, but never thought of the possibilites that i see now

@molly: what pattern did you use ? it looks very futuristic

I used the brown barnwood one Esper but I couldn't get it to puff up. I as still too dense to figure it out.
Help yourself to the textures I use a lot

the interesting texture you got, comes from the fact that the pic is pixelated
my next question is: you made that picture into a pattern and used it with Graechan's script ?

01. make a new layer
02. go to Filters -> Render -> Clouds -> Solid Noise

use the values as seen in Chris' tutorial

03. activate your text layer and BumpMap your text layer with the Solid Noise (Map -> BumpMap)

my next quesiton is: you have that picture as a pattern and used it with Graechan's script ?

This is from his script but I couldn't get the puff up look after I used the pattern in place of background.

sallyanne: i really liked some of yours, especially "play with wood" and the wood grain one - it's a bit tricky to get a 3d effect with that font, but it looks good anyway.
molly: i love that bling fence

. i like the barnwood text too, but i also had troubles getting the volume up when i used a pattern instead of the wood. wonder why?

! it didn't really work as i had expected with the text on separate lines though - i thought the tail of the y would stretch down more in a straight line, so it would merge with the g - it didn't, so i had to move the "girl" afteri ran the script and you can see the difference.
