I am trying create a top view of a flower inside a glass paperweight, a semisphere one, so the flower should look like it is viewed under a low power magnifying glass, but I am having problem getting it to look like it had been magnified. Any ideas?

Also, I am trying to do it with the light from top, that is directly over the dome of the semisphere, is it possible?

I tried gradient and displacement map, but I cannot get the flower to bend the right way.

I've used the iwarp filter in the past set it to grow and just kept clicking in the centre of the image until I have the desired effect.

he4rty - wouldn't your trick work for this - reducing the width of the layer, doing layer to image size then mapping to a sphere?

Possible, but I think it would look to rounded.

Filters > Distorts > Apply Lens (Filters > Light & Shadow > Apply Lens in v2.6 or earlier) works pretty nicely, too, and removes the background if you want Then you need to make a new layer and set up the glass.
