I'm not advocating that anyone "try again" so to speak but I did want to call your attention to the fact that I will be posting the "surprise" that I mentioned in a couple of my recent posts. I was approached by an individual a few months ago, which requested that they remain anonymous, and was asked if I was interested in collaborating to create a script for this looooooooooooooooooooooog tutorial. I was needless to say floored at the enormity of the project and suffice it to say I accepted.

This amazing individual wrote the entire script (over 2000 lines of code!), helped me learn enough to be able to make minor edits, put up with all my quirks and endless perfectionist changes, and the script was born. The collaborative effort revealed a few errors, some areas that were difficult to understand and other nuances that resulted in a complete overhaul of this tutorial. The script is written to coincide step by step with the tutorial so everything had to match perfectly. All new screenshots, many, many edits, additional steps added for clarification and other steps changed altogether. The entire process took us over two months to complete.

Why go to all the trouble? Remember the endgame here is to ultimately compile a Metal Wurx ebook consisting of all the PDFs of all the tutorials. Therefore it had to change.

The original tutorial post has been revised, all attachments deleted and one comprehensive Resource folder attached to the Part A segment to make things easy for someone just now coming across the tut. I will put up a separate temporary post to get the link copied into the script before actually uploading it.

If you would like to work your way thru the tutorial from scratch, I think you will find it a lot easier this time around. The script of course will make it a breeze to create any combination of bezels, metallic colors and be able to select ON and OFF conditions.

Have fun!

Wow, this is amazing and it is just one reason that open-source is so awesome!
