I am working on a book cover for an Amazon e-book. The finished image will not load onto Amazon as there are pixel limitations built into their image upload. How do I translate my finished image to the Amazon required pixel specs? (1560x2500 is their ideal)

A lot will depend on the size of your image to start with but if you go

Image>Scale Image a window will pop up where you can enter the width and height of your image, the linked chain next to the two boxes will keep the proportions of width to height, clicking on the chain will unlink it and enable you to adjust Width and Height independantly of each other.

Forgot to mention that scaling an image in Gimp as its pixel based will possibly cause the image to deteriorate.

Do you mean the Catalog cover (1562 x 2500) or embedded cover (600 x 800)? What ppi are you using?

I have the specs that amazon wants, I just need to know how to achieve those standards on a gimp image that has been vexing me for months off and on now
So, where on GIMP do I go to get the pixel (ation) to change to fit my req. for this amazon cover.

If your dimensions are correct and your image is still being rejected you might need to adjust the resolution. 72 ppi for Catalog Cover (1562 x 2500) and 167-300 for Embedded Cover (600 x 800).
