How to keep gif animated after adding text

i've added text to my gif alone with a border on the outside and no matter how i export it the gif won't go past the first image of the animation . can someone help me out?

Did you make sure that this box was checked,
while exporting your image as animated gif?

I don't get this option when i try to export it

Are you sure that you're exporting your image,
with the file extension of .gif and not any other file extension?

That doesn't seem right.
What version of Gimp are you using?

Can you post your image as an .xcf file?

You should have the Export as option.
Is this a portable version and where did you get it from?

I just updated to the newest version. see if i have any luck
