just render the eagle, put on it's own transparent layer, and then you can duplicate the eagle layer to make him animated...I guess on the background layer you will have to clone out the original eagle. Ugh.

Yeah just render the eagle out as a copy and then paste it in at different spots in each frame.
Use the clone tool to clone over the eagle to make it vanish magically. :)

I used it once for a Flag and Eagle combo thing with Stained Glass script

I can not remember if Pivot opens existing GIF's or not.I do not think it does though.

It doesnt open .gif but I was wondering if I could save the eagle render as a .piv and open that in pivot and animate it there.

I am pretty sure it will not save as a PIV from Gimp either.
As far as i know you can save your images in Pivot as GIF and as PIV files then reopen the PIV file in Pivot stickfigure animator for future editing - but that's it.
