On this one I used fencepost's spinning cube script.

It did for me to which is why I keep all the rendered cubes in the new window it comes out in, and just copy, and paste it into there. (I couldn't remember the exact way of doing it earlier off the top of my head, cause I was using my friends Asus Eee Pad Transformer. I got it for a week :hi5)

First time poster. Sorry to bump up an older thread. I have a question. When making the spinning cube animation, how do I give it a colored background? I typed a word, and made it into a spinning cube animation, but it has a transparent background. I want a colored background to match the background of a forum I frequent. I don't want to add a background to 100 frames one at a time. Also, my animation pretty much spun, but didn't move around in all directions like some in this thread. What parameters do I use to make it move about randomly? Thanks for any help, appreciated. By the way, I still used 2.6.11. I tried the new one, but didn't care for it too much. Hard to teach an old dog new tricks I guess.

Use the script 'Combine Background'.

Ah man, thanks a million. That sure is easier to use than a frame at a time.

Gmic has a sequence option -- sequence/3d object -- which can do a spinning cube. Uses only 1 image though.

Nixnine made this cube. See how it "spins" randomly, pretty much showing every side of the cube? I was wondering how that was done. They later showed the settings they used, but it only shows partial settings. Mine spins, but doesn't move all around like that one. It seems like it would have something to do with starting, and ending angles, etc. When I try that, with 100 frames, it isn't seamless. Any suggestions? Again, thanks for helping, much appreciated.

Sure thing Warrior! :bigthup

I did post a screenshot, basically showing where to find the script and how to use it. I'm guess you figures that out for yourself though.

Yeah, it was easy to figure out. Thanks again, really appreciate it. I made a morph sequence once, and decided to later add my username to it....one frame at a time. Took me hours, as it was a big animation, haha.

It can be done in g'mic, open a square image...and as I recall you have to delete the first or last frame, because the are the same and make the movement stop for a second... save as a .gif and check the box for animation.

I do hope someone else comes with more info for you.
I know how to make the animation, just don't know how to make it move about randomly. Didn't know about deleting first and last frames though. Thanks for the heads up.
