1)Some new/updated filters may require the very last gmic version to run , it is your version of gmic updated ?
2)In case of partially failed update you should see some error message pop out, with the indication of which URL failed, of which source for some reason was not available...did you saw a similar message ?
3) Gmic filters categories were recently modified so some filter you was used to find in some category may be moved and the whole category renamed or split in 2
Just as example ,
before
GMIC>Enhancements > Sharpen (UnsharpMask)
GMIC>Enhancements > Smooth (anisotropic )
are now
GMIC> Details>Sharpen (UnsharpMask)
GMIC>Repairs > Smooth (Anisotropic )
