GIMP Version: 2.8.10
Operating System: Linux
OS Version: Fedora 20
GIMP Experience: Basic Level

List any relevant plug-ins or scripts:
G'MIC

Does anyone know how to load the G'MIC plugin in fedora 20? it is in the plugins folder but won't load with GIMP.

You'll probably need to install libpng12 from the Fedora repositories.

As root, from terminal..
yum install libpng12

Also, ensure the execute bit is set (permissions).

I already tried libpng12 and the execution bit is set, but it just doesn't seem to get loaded by GIMP.

Run GIMP from terminal and if it's kicking an error when trying to load G'MIC, you should see the message at the console. I'm running G'MIC in Fedora 20, so I can confirm that it does work.

I'm using G'MIC 1.5.9.2, the one entitled: gmic_gimp_linux64.zip
