Hello David,

When I use gmic in gimp, I see in the undo list next to each gmic action "gmic - 2.0". Is it possible to change this text to the name of the used filter? Just the name, not the parameters.

Thanks for reading.

Regards, Paul.

May want to post your request at the main G'MIC discussion forum. :)

Yeah, but I like this place as well (for certain reasons).

I don't think this is possible, the undo list is managed by GIMP only, and a plug-in AFAIK has no ways to manage the labels used in this list.

Thanks for your answer. A good workaround is to set G'MICs Output mode to New layers and tell G'MIC to send its output messages to the layer name. The filters used show up in order in the Layers window.

Just to get your attention David, I cannot get G'MIC to work at all in my GIMP for Mac 2.8.14 since I updated to Sierra

Hello akky, sorry to hear that. I don't have any clues about that issue, I don't have a Mac and I'm not in charge of compiling the G'MIC plug-in on Mac either.
Maybe Karsten (https://discuss.pixls.us/users/karo/activity) could tell us more about this !

Hi akky, I did not see your post under this topic!

I don't know what might be the problem. However, since some time there is a new build of Gimp under GIMPonOSX (http://gimp.lisanet.de/Website/Download.html) version 2.8.18 with gmic 1.7.9. For this Sierra Gimp build I have the plugin (gmic 2.0.0 pre) prepared.

Still I have tried to make a gmic plugin build for the native Gimp build from Gimp.org. Have a look under http://karo03.bplaced.de/gmic/git/. http://karo03.bplaced.de/gmic/git/gmic_ ... mp.org.zip contains a plugin for the native Gimp build, if the GIMPonOSX one don't work for you.

Don't hesitate to contact me in case of problems.

Karsten
