It's summer time, time for a new G'MIC release
I'm happy to announce the release of the version 1.5.9.3 of the G'MIC image processing framework, including an updated version of the plug-in binaries.
It should be already available for Windows and Linux users.

The main improvement in this version is the addition of multi-threaded operations in native commands through OpenMP. Lot of G'MIC native commands are impacted.
That means, if you have a computer with multiple cores and you want to process 'big' images (>1024x1024), you will probably get a visible speed boost!
A quick and easy way to test the advantage of this OpenMP-based released is to try the filter Repair / Smooth [median], this is one that is definitely faster.

the downloaded package does not include libwinpthread-1.dll
I got it back from a previous release
now gmic 1.5.9.3 starts

I finally backed out of the new hd and went back into the old to get the path.

I have the 1.5.9.3 already. When will the 1.6.0.0 version be available for windows 64 bit?

It will be available when it's ready
Version 1.6.0.0 is intended to be a major release, so I'll wait probably that we have enough new stuffs in it before releasing it.
