I have tried for days now to get GMIC to work on Mac with GIMP. Found 15-16 people answering these questions and providing advice but nothing has worked. I decided to download Partha's GIMP because he stated that it has GMIC in it, but I downloaded it and I could not find GMIC, it was not in the filters. I tried all 3 Mac versions of GIMP that he had. I also made sure to delete all other GIMP/GMIC things that were not his because I saw that it could be an issue. Could anyone please help me to get GMIC on MAC? Thanks very much in advance.

Try to find out in Gimp Preferences plug-in folders is set to the location of the gmic plugin, or better verify that gmic_gimp is in one of the folders listed. This is valid for Gimp from Partha as well as from GimponOSX.

Did you download " McGimp" ? I have it and it does have G'Mic under Filters, it's way down at the bottom, in fact I have to scroll down the list as it is not visible without scrolling down.
