I've just released the version 1.6.0.4 of the G'MIC image processing framework, including the plug-in for GIMP (http://gmic.eu/gimp.shtml).

It should be more stable (particularly on Windows), and a bit faster too . This will be the last version of the 1.6.0.x serie,
so next release will be probably 1.6.1.0.

Binaries are already available for the following architectures : Win32 (compatible with Win64), Linux32 and Linux64.

Feel free to upgrade, and tell me if everything seems to be OK.

I just see this 64 Bit version: gmic_gimp_win64.zip. Is that one the most recent one, 1.6.0.4?

I downloaded it and I can't get it show up. How do I add it to Gimp?

If you already have G'MIC installed, just overwrite the existing gimp_gmic.exe plugin Mackenziah; you don't need to overwrite the other associated files since they didn't change.

Lyle, I accidentally deleted it and I'm trying to reinstall it. The one I downloaded was the file with the folder: gmic-1.6.0.4 and I added it to my plugins folder but when I reopen gimp, I don't see it.

Is there a tutorial on how to install G'MIC? That would be useful for all platforms. I finally have it installed.

Not sure about a tutorial Mackenzieh; I was using G'MIC almost from its inception so went through all the pains concerning it's install (and there were more then a few; latest one being that the plugin should be in it's own directory since it's dlls interfered with other GIMP plugin dlls). Someone did create an installer for G'MIC a while back but I still prefer the copy/paste method renaming the older gimp_gmic.exe to gimp_gmic.old just in case the new plugin is unstable (happened to be for me twice over the 4 or five years I've been using this very necessary plugin (at least it's necessary for me)).

Did you re organize the filter list again David? Seems i am missing 4 filters. Used to have 414 now there are only 410.

Yes Rod, there are 4 filters from PhotoComiX that I've moved to his 'Testing/' folder.
I've encountered some issues with them, and I have no time to maintain them.
