I was looking for a way to pixelize an image with G'Mic online and found Patterns - Hearts which does the job quite nicely. Then I wanted to do the same offline in Gimp, went to Hearts in the Patterns group - and it does something completely different and also has very few settings. It does though look more like hearts.

Something's wrong there I guess... Where can I find the effect called "Hearts" in the online version in the Gimp plugin? And where can I find the effect called "Hearts" in the plugin in the online version?

spacepenguin: looks like we've stumbled on a mystery here! not long ago i had reason to try the heart filter on g'mic online, and at that point it worked as it should - i e it made hearts. when i tried it today it pixelised. i was sure g'mic had a pixelise filter, but i've been looking in the gimp plug-in version and cant find one. hopefully we'll get this one sorted out!
in the meantime, gimp's own pixelise filter may only have settings for size of the blocks, but the result is good looking.

odinbc: the problem isn't to find the hearts filter in gmic for gimp, but to find the filter that performs the pixelising function that you find under "hearts" in g'mic online and to find the hearts filter in g'mic online. i've searched too and haven't found these.

I have found the pixelize filter in g'mic for gimp. It is, thanks odinbc, the Hearts in '/testing/samj/arrays & tiles/'. Seems as if the original hearts filter which still is available in g'mic for gimp in Patterns has been replaced online with that filter - accidentally because both filters have the same name - or intentionally. Alas that filter doesn't produce any hearts even if "hearts" is ticked.

Might it be possible to add the pixelizer to the online version too (and maybe with another name than "Hearts" )?
