Hello!
Just realized the Gmic .deb installs GTK version. Is the QT standalone .zip on the works, or is it possible to get QT some other way installed?
The file that stores favorites is different and not compatible, it's gui_faves and on Windows gmic_qt_faves.json
My goal is to get faves from the Windows Gmic QT 2.2.3 transferred somehow to Linux. This worked with 2.8 Gimp simply by copying the files over.
Thank You!

From one of your previous posts, looks like you are using Ubuntu 18.04 I am assuming you are using the Gimp 2.10.0 from the gimp-edge ppa.

Sorry to be outspoken about this, but why do you want a deb package for gmic_gimp_qt? I can understand for an application with hundreds of files and dozens of dependencies, gimp_gmic_qt is a single 7 MB file.

Want the gmic_gimp_qt plugin. Two possible ways to go.

The Gimp 2.8 version 2.2.3 works. Get the zip from
https://gmic.eu/files/linux/gmic_gimp2. ... _amd64.zip

Unzip it, permissions are already set, put the file in your Gimp 2.10 plugins folder ~/.config/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins

I compile both the qt and gtk versions for my own use. QT version, says 2.9 is version 2.2.4 from a couple of days ago.

Same as before, unzip, goes in ~/.config/GIMP/2.10/plug-ins proof: https://i.imgur.com/vZ61ROG.jpg

Yeah I think I must have had cerebral short circuit or something starting to play with .deb
Had to delete all the files one by one because I installed it via software.
Got it working, thanks much rich2005! :bigthup
