Hi, i am new here and see its a very useful forum. To start i have already a question

I recently installed Gimp 2.10 on my 32bit laptop with Linux Mint XFCE and it works good. Now I want to add the G'MIC plugin but on the G'MIC website i can't find a suitable installer.

I see only
Windows 64 bits: installer or .zip archive
Windows 32 bits: installer or .zip archive
Linux 64 bits (tested with Debian Sid): .zip archive

Can i find somewhere else an G'MIC installer for 32bit Linux or do i have to wait till it will be added?

Thnx

I thought I've seen it somewhere but no, sometimes people attach their compiled binaries in post and they get buried.
I'm sure someone can make it for you if you wait a bit :)

Could do with a bit more info: Is the Gimp 2.10 from otto-kesselgulasch-gimp-edge PPA or is it a flatpak.

If from otto-kesselgulasch-gimp-edge then he also maintains versions of gmic as well. gmic 2.2.3 at the moment. Get that from the Mint repo.

Otherwise manual installation.

1. https://gmic.eu/files/linux/ where you can get the last of the stable 2.2.x QT series as a zip

2. https://gmic.eu/files/prerelease/ where you can get a QT ver 2.3.x as a zip

There are also .deb packages there that might/might not install

Unlike Windows gmic_gimp_qt unzipped is a single file (about 8 MB). However there are QT5 dependencies which might not be installed in a 32 bit XFCE. You will have to try-and-see and install QT5 from the MINT repo as required.

Flatpak? I use one of these in Kubuntu 64 bit. QT version is not going to work. An older GIMC-GTK version 2.2.4 with a couple of additions can work but I compiled that one myself.

Thanks for the info. I installed the flatpak Gimp 2.10. I had Gimp 2.8 with the otto-kesselgulasch-gimp repository but with that there came no upgrade or new Gimp 2.10 install or perhaps I did something wrong? I see now that youre talking about otto-kesselgulasch-gimp-edge

The details are here: https://launchpad.net/~otto-kesselgulas ... gimp-edge/

Not yet updated to Gimp 2.10.4, usually takes a few days to come through. However unless you are using the latest Mint 19 (based on 'buntu Bionic) best you will get is Gimp 2.9.9 which actually is not too bad.
