Hi there.
I'm happy to announce today the release of the final 1.4.9.3 version of the G'MIC package, which is then the current stable now :)
The Changelog is available at :

Thanks again for all the experiments you are doing, here, on the GimpChat forum, with the G'MIC plug-in. It continuously inspires me to develop new features and commands.
I hope you'll enjoy this version.

Cheers,

David.

Is the version number for gmic the same in Windows and Linux? They seem to be different, when i go to the package manager and get gmic it gets a different number than the current one is.

Yes, there are the same.
Maybe an oldest version is available in your package repository. This is probably the case if you try to install G'MIC only from the 'official' package repositories of your distribution.

I never cease to be amazed. G'MIC just keeps on growing and getting better and better. I love it when you bring your stuff here, David, and I love the way our members dive in on it.

Thanks for the update!

If this is just for the plug-in, take 'gmic_gimp_macosX_SnowLeopard.zip'.
The two other ones contain the command line executable of G'MIC as well (but, probably, you don't need it).

Hi David & All,

I have compiled G'MIC 1.4.9.3 and uploaded an automatic installer for Windows 7, both 64-bit and 32-bit. Just download the appropriate executable and double-click on the exe file. Please note that it is specific to Gimp 2.7.3 in the sense that the installer will abort if it does not find Gimp 2.7.3 in your registry (which would be there if you installed Gimp 2.7.3 from my website :) ).

Please download at http://www.partha.com. While you are at it, check out the screenshot with filters created by PC.

Any issues or comments about the installer, please leave me a message here or my website.

Thanks,
Partha

I use the portable version that , i believe ,should add no key in the registry.
Installers are fine but is also handy have a zipped version .

about compatibility with gimp 2.7 there is something that i don't understand well:
from what i read from David gmic should be already compatible with gimp 2.7 (if i remember well ,may use iif needed instead then the functions deprecated in gimp 2.7 , the new used in the dev version ) without need adaptment .

And in linux was working well with 2.7 (but i tried with much older 2.7 i can't swear for more recent build ), there are problem with Windows to be solved with a speciphic version for 2.7 ?

Hi PC,

Not specifically a problem with 2.7 so much as the DLLs I provide. I would have to provide additional DLLs which may or may not work with some version that was compiled by someone else. Of course, in your case, no problem at all since you are using the portable version from my website. So, I can provide you the 64-bit zipped version. I will upload to my website as it is too big and I don't want Gimpchat to be bogged down. Unless you want only the gmic_gimp.exe?

Thanks,
Partha
