I have some shots handheld and would need to align them. I have tried to use the plugin-in and with the following settings:

Alignment Type: Rigid
Smoothness: 0.3
Scales: Auto
Revert Layers: Unchecked

Input Layers: All visible
Output Mode: New Layer(s)
Preview mode: 1st output (default)

The preview looks aligned, however, after I click apply, the new layers created were exactly the same as the original image layers.

Should the plugin automatically crop and move the image in all the new layers? Did I missed out on anything?

Thanks in advance!

I guess that has to do with the smoothness parameter which is not working properly.
Try with a very low smoothness, and it may be OK.
That looks like a bug anyway, so I have to fix it.

Thanks for the advice, I will try this again later.

May I know what will be the expected behaviour if the filter works correctly after application? For example, the layers will be aligned in GIMP layers by cropping and shifting.

Hi, did you resolve this issue ? I have the same problem. Preview is OK, but after i click OK, layers are same as before.

I use version 2.7.5 of this plugin.
