But everything is fine in Gimp-2.10.38-1

These "weird" entries are actually filters that have been translated in Japanese. They do not appear for non-Japanese locales, but they do in the "What's New" section.

Well, I don't understand this decision at all (although I accept it: your program - your decision).
It's not just about hieroglyphs - but also about the lack of one section "Removed filters".

Gimp-3 launched in Japanese (as the only one) displays the content correctly, but in English.


If it weren't for these strange characters, how would it be displayed in Japanese?

Shouldn't this be regulated in 'Settings'?


This issue comes back from time to time (and in some versions it was already 'normal') so I apologize for the inconvenience and I won't bring this topic up again.
