 Post subject: Gmic 4.0.5 mot showing under filter. Usin GIMP 3.2.6

Recently upgraded to GIMP 3.2.6 and also downloaded a new Gmic 4.0.5. I am unable to get it to appear under 'filters'. I have tried to fix this for a week now. Unable to fix. Need help.

Location: Native to NYC living in Arizona, Gimp 2.8 - 3.0, Win 11 PC.
G'MIC 4.0.5 does support GIMP 3,
and the current official download specifically provides a G'MIC-Qt plug-in for GIMP 3.

Try using the ZIP package and install it manually.

Thanks for replying... Yes, this is the one I downloaded. However, I still do not see G'Mic under the filter tab. :(

When it asks for the plug-in location, use:

C:\Users\<YourName>\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\3.2\plug-ins\gmic_gimp_qt

Replace <YourName> with your Windows user name.

Finish the install,
restart GIMP,
G'MIC-Qt should show up under Filters.



If it doesn't,
You could also check what was actually installed.

Go to:
C:\Users\<YourName>\AppData\Roaming\GIMP\3.2\plug-ins\gmic_gimp_qt

Check to see what files are in there.

Check your files in these locations... G-MIC-QT

and here, make sure the folder name matching the exe file name.
That runs the program, with in that folder,

All I did was unzip the files, then I copy them to my Plugin Folder.
Updating what was there. I have no problems with it loading and self-updating.
