I just discovered, TKs Animated Objects tutorial at the G'MIC wiki. To be honest I've never noticed or used the Object animation filter before. It's fairly easy to understand with this tutorial; lots of possibilities with this one!

Tom Kiel wrote that a while ago and putting it on Wiki was a way to preserve his work. However; shortly afterwards Ronounours' student gave us better inpaint called -repair .. we should update the page in true Wiki style!

Personally I prefer GAP for simple or Blender for complex versions of this kind of 2d rigid layers animation. But it's a nice demo and hopefully encourages people to experiment :)

G'MIC has more of an advantage for Optical Flow type morphs that are hard or impossible with other tools. But this is quite specific. Ronounours made a nice video clip with frame inbetweening .. I'll look for the link when I'm not on mobile.
