OK; felt that I should share with you all the gems brush (embedded drop shadows added). For this result, I added some additional magic (don't ask; well, will add that I allowed for rotational brush dynamics which I should have done for the seamless textures that I've recently created but didn't). lol

Found a moment - the brush works for me Lyle...
...applied as a border (random size and angle).
