Hello there,

I have been absent from this site for so long, nice to be back

I found few papers where GIMP is used to enhance medical images (I also attach the images below):

An Image Processing Approach Based on Gimp to the Panoramic Radiography

GIMP and Wavelets for Medical Image Processing: Enhancing Images of the Fundus of the Eye

If you google, there are few other papers.

Do you guys have any experience with this? Anyone here working as medical staff? I am planning to make similar papers, so any help is appreciated.

Have a nice day!

ImageJ is popular in the research area too.

This ImageJ plugin of retinex actually uses Gimp.
